Notes[]
- The song in the Season 3 trailer is "Perfectly Marvelous," from the musical Cabaret, and is sung by Sutton Foster. Foster has created several original performances for the series, usually singing songs that reflect Midge's state of mind at the time they appear.
- In Season 1, Midge worked at the Revlon cosmetics counter at B. Altman. In the scene that gets her the job, she encourages a customer shopping for a lipstick to avoid the deeper "Raven Red" and purchase the rosier "Cherries in the Snow," both period Revlon lipstick colors.
- Although Raven Red has been discontinued, Revlon has now released a series of three red lipsticks in response to the enthusiasm for the colors used on the show including "Fire and Ice," a medium red introduced in 1952, and "Cherries in the Snow," which has continuously been part of Revlon's line since 1953. For little girls born in the 1950s, these are the colors their mothers wore.
